Madecassoside is the triterpenoid saponins and 30% of the Asiaticosides.
About its solubility,some are water soluble and some are alchhol soluble.
10%-80% asiaticosides and 80%-90% madecassoside are water soluble.
36%-44% asiaticoside mixed with 54%-66% asiatic acid are alcolhol soluble.
About its function,it can stimulate fibroblast proliferation and activate SMAD signaling pathway,increase the production of I collagen;so it has the activity of healing wound.At the same time, it can reduce the formation of stria gravidarum.
They are used in facial milk, toner, essence, emulsion, face cream, gel and eye cream etc..
They are dissolved in water and alcohol solvent and added into cosmetic system before emulsification.
The suggested added amount is
10%-80% asiaticosides:0.1-1%
80%-90% madecassoside:0.1-0.2%
36%-44% asiaticoside mixed with 54%-66% asiatic acid:0.1-0.5%
